Lately little d has been interested in the names of things, what signs say, and... body parts. I suppose all of this is normal for a 3.5 year old boy. I've made a point to be honest, even blasé in my answers.
When he asked to see my p3n|s, I told him "I don't have one." End of story. A moment later he asked what I use to go pee. "My urethra", I told him. "No, you may not see it." End of story.
Another day he wanted to examine the inside of my mouth. "Ok", so I opened wide and said "Ahh". He asked what that thing hanging down is, and I immediately answered "That's my uvula". And hoped it was the correct answer. In that moment little d had found his new favorite word. Any time he passes a mirror that's his height, he'll open wide and say "Mommy! I saw my UVULA!"
Last night he said that LOUDLY in the locker room of our gym.
OMG~ MUST GOOGLE THAT WORD! So, I just did, and, pshew...it IS that hanging-down thing in your throat!
