I saw something scarier than the sharks at the Aquarium today.

Today little d and I spent a lovely 3 hours at the amazing Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta. We had a wonderful time, and little d really appreciated it this time, unlike when I took him when he was 18 months old...duh! It's the largest aquarium in the world, 9 acres in all!

The coolest part, I think, is the tunnel that you walk through with water above and on each side of you. Sharks, sting rays, grouper...mmmm, delicious grouper...swimming all around.



You can pet sting rays and anemones if you wish, but luckily little d is a boy after my own heart...no way!! Too yucky!

I could go on and on about all the amazing sights we beheld. But the most incomprehensible thing I saw was in the car, driving away.

I saw 4 pickup trucks, driving in a row, rigged up with nooses, with men in effigy hanging from them. I saw signs, but they drove away before I could read them. What is happening to Atlanta, The City Too Busy To Hate?

Is this the same KKK group from Jena, LA? (Actually it looked much worse than that truck)

Is it because Obama is here today, in our suburbs?

I've googled to see if I can find out what these people are trying to prove. I'm finding nothing, which is a good sign. Hopefully these people were ignored by the media. But the African American woman in front of me at the stop sign noticed, and leaned out of her window shaking her fist. This poor woman, who probably had just as delightful a day as I, and these human turds just shat upon it.
