On vacation, in the library

It's become a family joke that that I somehow end up in a library on every vacation we go on! Today, it's because I need to use the wireless internet, and also, a little friggin peace and quiet. Lord, I married into a loud family! I think their volume levels are loud and louder...meanwhile I have this whisper-quiet voice that causes people to lean in to hear me speak.

I love being in these little hippie towns! I arrived at the library about 15 minutes before it opened, so I walked over to a coffee shop (for a diet coke because ewwwww, coffee?) Anyway, I was listening to the townies talking about the Evil Empire of Wal-mart and the remorse one old guy feels about buying his Raisin Bran there, because of the lower price. Then the conversation switched to "Conspicuous Consumerism"..."Wants and needs, man, that's what it's all about. Wants. And. Needs." "Let's go carve some fresh powder dude."

Quote of the morning, overheard in the library:
"It's suprising how many heavy metal bands are vegan and into saving the earth..kinda like the Grateful Dead."

Dude, I'm gonna add some chill vibes to a CPA firm ad, and then get outta here...the slopes are only open til Sunday.
