I recently volunteered to do all the flowers for my sister's upcoming wedding. Then I went to my local craft store, and had heart palpitations when I did a quick price scan of silk flowers. Now, $0.99 might not sound like a lot for a single rose stem, but multiply that times a bridal bouquet, 4 brides maids, 6 or 7 boutineers, and mothers' corsages and WHOA NELLY!
Luckily I live on the outskirts of an urban area, and found quite a few silk flower wholesalers. Even more luckily, I found one near me who is open to the public. (And doesn't require a tax ID & florist's license!)
Here's what I bought for $48:
That's 100 yards of ribbon, too! I don't know if you can really tell, but that's A LOT OF FLOWERS. CHEAP!!
I did have to go back to the expensive craft store today for about $15 worth of fillers. But here's my sister's bouquet.
I hope she likes it - she like the flowers I bought yesterday, and I think this is what she had in mind. I'll be making the bridesmaids' bouquets in all white.

Gorgeous! We had a wonderful bargain on flowers for our wedding because the florists are my husband's first cousins. That was handy...
Beck, lucky you! My mom's cousin catered my reception, so we got that part super-cheap!
